Grace from piCture pOlish with MoYou White Knight & UberChic stamping

Howdee! Today I have a mani using one of my favourite colours 'Grace' from piCture pOlish. What a beautiful beautiful colour it is, I just love the dusky pink colour which much like the previous post 'Cosmos' has a scatter holo that dries smooth on the nail and is enhanced by a generous application of top coat. It is described on the official website as "Inspired by a beautiful princess" which I can totally relate to, I can be a bit girly given the chance and pink and sparkly is me to a tee.

Here I have stamped on my ring finger with MoYou 'White Knight' using one of my lovely UberChic plates and added crystals on the other fingers. Looking back I wish I had applied another coat over the white stamp to mute it down a little but I still love it just as it is.

piCture pOlish 'Cosmos'

Today I have piCture pOlish 'Cosmos& the gorgeous Esmaltes Da Kelly 'Laguna' holo polish, stamped using the Betina plate B-13.

I believe this polish has been around since about 2012 and was made as part of the Collaboration series with Camille of Pshiiit, it is made by the fantastic company piCture pOlish, I love love love their products, they are in fact the manufacturers of one of my all time favourite polishes 'Grace' which I'll show you in my next post.

A n y w a y . . . I was going off track there a little. 'Cosmos' is is wonderfully 5 free and reminds me of a starry starry night. It is a Navy blue jelly with an awesome scatter of holo that glides on perfectly and dries flat for a flawless finish. I have used two coats here.

For a list of piCture pOlish stockists if you are not in Australia - click here.

This is one of a number of Betina plates I own and I love it. You can purchase from here

I bought the stunning Esmaltes Da Kelly 'Laguna' holo polish from Rainbow Connection and is one of many amazing ultra holos available. I urge you to go and check them out if you haven't done so already!

Have a good week.

I see you wear OPI

Today I have a quick swatch of an O.P.I colour named 'I see you wear OPI' to share with you. It is a shimmery cobolt blue from last years 'Brights' collection.

The formula and brush were really easy to work with, as with all O.P.I's it has a flat wide brush which helps with application and the polish was quite thin meaning it was easy to apply, however that meant it needed three coats in order to make it opaque.

In the bottle the polish appears to have a flash of purple going through it but once it was applied to the nails it was unfortunately difficult to see. That said the blue colour glistens like water and reminded me of an inviting cool swimming pool on a hot summers day. Overall, it isn't the sort of colour I'd personally wear regularly but it is a beautiful polish. I haven't tried it, but I'm pretty sure that one coat over a navy blue would also look pretty awesome.

Have a great weekend!

Femme Fatale 'Glass Coffin'

Today I am excited to share ‘Glass Coffin’ by Femme Fatale, it is an amazing shimmering thermal polish which transitions between a soft pale blue/green when warm and a gorgeous lilac/purple when cold. If you have been a reader of my blog for long enough you would have realised how much I love a matte finish and this dries to a gorgeous matte. Application was easy & dried very quickly. I used two coats without a topcoat - I did topcoat one nail originally and realised that it was a mistake, it looks fab without. I then stamped using stamping plate Uber Chic 2-01 with Models Own ‘Chrome Pearl’ polish. Unfortunately the photo doesn’t do it justice here.

Red Swirl Nails

Hey Everyone! For todays post I have a manicure I did a while ago now but haven't got around to posting. It's been so long that I have forgotten what products I used - I know, rubbish aren't I! but I wanted to show it anyway as I love how it turned out. I hope that you like it too.

Steampunk Nails

Not practical, but a bit of fun on my own nails. I used Fair Maiden Polish 'Snake Charmer' as my base colour, then stamped using Models Own 'Chrome Rose' with Steampunk plate 01. I then added the 3D elements, but they didn't stay on for long.
Have a good week all x

Different dimension polish - 'Ghostbusters' review

'Ghostbusters is a peachy neon orange sherbert colour jelly with various sizes of iridescent orange glitter and a bit of shimmer thrown in too. It has a lovely consistency and went on easily, I applied it over a peach base and I must say that I preferred it with just one coat - this photo is two, but each to their own. It dries to a matte finish which I really liked, but of course you can change that with a quick coat of top coat. This glows an orangey colour in the dark, but unfortunately it doesn't last long.

Nails Inc Atomic

I don't particularly like these as the studs are slightly too big for my nails, however this is Nails Inc Atomic - a great Tiger orange.

No Seventeen 'Neon Yellow' glitter polish with Stamping

Well last week I found an old polish which I've had for years - No. Seventeen 'Neon Yellow' which I thought I'd try out. To be honest, even though it went on really smoothly and didn't cause any issues, I just didn't like the colour.

It doesn't look too bad here but it is more yellow in real life & unfortunately the colour reminded me a bit of stained nails!!

So I then decided to stamp over the top  of it and I was pleasantly surprised how it changed the look completely and I really liked it, the spa;e of the glitter with the crisp clean edges of the stamp:

I used MoYou London Black stamping polish with a stamping plate from French company 'Marianne Nails' Plate XXL2

Picture Polish Bette

Today I have for you another fabby polish from one of my favourite brands Australian 'Picture Polish'

Here we have 'Bette' from the Opulence Shades Collection. As with all polishes from this brand, it has a luxury feel about it, the packaging is lovely and all of their shades are easy to apply.

Bette is an Azure blue dense glitter, it is a lovely colour and when it catches the light has a scattered rainbow of holographic flecks which are just stunning. If you have read some of my other posts you will know how much I love a holographic polish and this is no exception.

Here I have applied three thin coats but it would probably be passable in two.

Femme Fatale Touch of Madness

Today I have this super, super pretty colour by Australian brand, Femme Fatale Cosmetics - ‘Touch of Madness’ which I believe was released about a year ago. It is a fuchsia jelly polish loaded with intensely sparkly magenta and purple holographic microglitters plus under bright light a luminescent blue scattering also appears!.

The formula was different to what I am used to as it dried very quickly, so I had to work fast when applying, it dried a bit matte and so I’d say that you need a nice shiny top coat to bring the sparkle to life. I applied two coats of colour but wished I had three afterwards.

I hope that you like it!?!

Scratch Magazine Gallery

Oh! Exciting, I have just seen my work featured on the 'Scratch Magazine' online gallery! They featured my Christmas tree inspired nails under the theme of 'Festive Greens'

Happy New Year!

Firstly a massive apology for not posting for a few months. I was struggling with my M.E & things got on top of me so stopped for a little while. However I didn't stop doing my nails completely so this post is mainly a catch up on the past few months.

The most exciting thing that has happened was that my work has been featured in two nail publications, the first being (as I said before) in the October edition of 'Nail Art Gallery' magazine on page 64, where they featured some of my Halloween nails:

Then my Christmas Tree nails were featured in the Nov/Dec issue of 'Nail It'

Mine are top right. Soooo exciting!

Plus I have a number of Christmas designs to show you, some better than others - I hope that you like them!
